Permanent Supportive Housing


Prairie Harvest's Permanent Supportive Housing, located at Harvest Homes and Stern Place in Grand Forks, ND, offers specialized housing solutions for adults with serious mental illness. Harvest Homes, established in 1997, features thirteen one-bedroom apartments, including an ADA accessible unit, designed to support independent living while providing necessary amenities such as a communal laundry room and social areas. Stern Place, opened in 2012 through an Economic Stimulus grant, consists of nine one-bedroom apartments across three floors, equipped with modern facilities including an elevator, communal kitchens, and a leisure area with exercise equipment. Both locations emphasize independence and enhanced quality of life through supportive services such as case management, nursing, and employment assistance, adhering to the Housing First model and prioritizing tenant stability through project-based voucher assistance.
