The Recology Volunteer Program, launched in 2008, exemplifies our commitment to enhancing the quality of life in our communities. Through collaborative efforts involving Recology employees and dedicated community volunteers, we undertake multiple projects each year aimed at revitalizing public spaces such as community centers, retirement homes, parks, and other areas. Activities include using fresh recycled paint, compost, drought-resistant plants, and mulch to beautify and restore these spaces. In the 2013/2014 period alone, nearly 1,200 employees across California, Oregon, and Washington joined forces in 34 volunteer events, contributing over 8,000 hours towards gardening, painting, and facility repairs, positively impacting the neighborhoods we proudly serve. This program reflects our ongoing commitment to sustainability and community engagement.
