This year marks the 15th anniversary of the Agave Heritage Festival, an event dedicated to investigating and honoring the cultural, environmental, and economic importance of the agave plant across international boundaries. We take pride in our city's recognition as a leading hub for 'All Things Agave,' a reputation further solidified by Mayor Regina Romer's 2022 declaration of Tucson as America's City of Century Plants. This proclamation highlights the area's rich diversity of agave species, as well as its significant agricultural and culinary heritage related to this remarkable plant.
