Honoring Those Who Have Served
Since the trenches of World War I, The Salvation Army's commitment to serving our nation's veterans has remained steadfast. In Southern Nevada, our Veteran Services team dedicates itself to caring for veterans facing challenges such as homelessness, unemployment, chemical dependency, and fundamental life skills.
An Honor to Serve the Brave
It's an honor to stand by those who have bravely stood for us. Our American veterans deserve unwavering support, and together, we can ensure they receive the care and loyalty they valiantly earned.
Supporting Stable Futures: SSVF Program
Our Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) program focuses on low-income veterans and their families, aiding them in obtaining and sustaining stable housing. With support from the United States Department of Veterans Affairs, we offer case management, housing counseling, financial assistance, life skills training, and more throughout Southern Nevada.
Peer-Centered Care and Rehabilitation
Our approach is both individualized and strength-based. Peer mentors, veterans themselves, bring invaluable insights to our supportive services. For homeless veterans grappling with addiction, our Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC) offers structured, comprehensive treatment. Through intensive care for substance abuse, mental health, and compulsive gambling, we foster transformation and a renewed sense of potential.
A New Life Fueled by Hope
At the ARC, we provide more than treatment; we offer a nurturing environment for growth. Our program grants veterans the chance to build emotional and intellectual strength within a supportive community. This transformative journey empowers veterans to embrace new opportunities and realize their potential for a brighter future.
