Social activities are important in our parish life, providing informal opportunities for us to bond our relationships through relaxed, communal, and charitable events. Social activities help generate a sense of belonging and connectedness with the wider congregation. It provides opportunities for people who might not otherwise meet each other in a committee or organization to mix with one another.
It’s no accident that so many of our activities involve the sharing of a meal. Food is nourishing and eating together helps us to feel like a family where bonds of friendship are strengthened, and strangers become strangers no more. Fellowships help build and strengthen relationships and create a fun atmosphere conducive to inviting guests.
