William Charles Construction – Mining and Materials Division is the aggregate and asphalt production component of our construction business. We operate nine quarries, one sand and gravel pits and two asphalt plants strategically located throughout Northern Illinois. For years, the Illinois Association of Aggregate Producers has bestowed its top safety awards to our quarries, which operate daily. The distinguished Diamond Achievement Award for Excellence was awarded to one of our quarries for exemplary plant and site operations by the National Asphalt Pavement Association.
