NeighborWorks Boise actively engages volunteers in various community service projects to support disabled, veteran, and senior citizens throughout Ada County. Initiatives like PAINT THE TOWN™ have seen over 3,400 homes painted since 1982, offering a unique team-building and community service opportunity. RAKE UP BOISE™ is another annual event where volunteers rake yards every November, fostering a sense of community and care. Additionally, NeighborWorks Boise manages 282 affordable rental units, providing not only housing but also community-building activities and youth programs. Volunteers play a crucial role in these efforts, including educating first-time homebuyers through the Homebuyer Education program. The organization's governance and strategic direction are supported by seven volunteer committees and a Board of Directors, contributing to various aspects of the organization's operations and community initiatives.
